Intermitten fasting

Hi everyone,

Have mentioned how much I love my carbs?? When I say carbs I usually refer it to my RICE. I have rice tummy!! I’m Asian and I love rice and rice love me. But I guess too much of everything is never good for you. I’ve noticed that I’m no longer fit in my outfits. I could give an excuse that it probably because of the injure I had that stops me from excercising. But nah.. it also got something to do with my diet ha ha ha.. who am I kidding? with shitloads of carbs intake I had??  Anyway, so I started to tighten up my belt, and signed mysef into a program from Drew Manning.

So his program is what you probably have heard, the Ketodiet. Also known as the High fat, moderate protein and low carbs. By low carbs means you will be eating preferably only 20grams of carb everyday. EVERY FREAKIN DAY… ha ha ha from approximately 500 grams to 20 grams. It was indeed a suicidal in the beginning. I nearly eat up someone who passed me by!! Not coz I’m hungry but I am so use to eat and eat and eat. Now I really have to follow the program.

Well, then I also read about the intermitten fasting. It is so recommended for those on keto to fast. This will help your body to take the opportunity to work and fix whatever it need to fix in your body, instead of using the system to process the food 3-8 times a day. So after approximately 1,5 weeks of my keto, I started the intermitten fasting. I began with the 12 hours fasting. and then I increased into 18-20 hours and then I stepped into the advance level the 24-28 hours of fasting. I will give you my details later on.

 

You’ll probably think how this idiocy will be good for your body? But you know what, I’ve learned that our body doesn’t really need to be fed as often as we’ve always been taught to. With enough fat, protein and carb, you will have a smooth fuel system that runs long enough. I even doing my exercise while fasting and I did much better without food in my body. It’s all in our mind. If we decide that we cannot do this, than we wouldn’t be able to do anything. But once you decide and convince your mind that fasting is good for you, then you will be succeeded! Now I’m not gonna talk too much here about the pros and contras, as I am not the expert. All I’m writing here is based on my own experience. You guys can search a lot more on internet about intermitten fasting.

Alright, let me show you how I’ve done my fasting:

The 12 hours intermitten fasting:

Start: at 18:00 hrs (after dinner) to 06:00 (8 hours of this you will be sleeping through the night)

ends: Keto: breakfast around 07:00hrs lunch: 12:00hrs and dinner 18:00hrs

The 18-20 hours intermitten fasting:

Start: at 18/19:00 hrs (after dinner) to 06/07:00hrs (8 hours will be spent on sleeping)

Breakfast: 2 glasses of Water; coffee/tea

ends: 12:00 hrs – Keto lunch/late lunch You will have few hours to consume your healthy meal before dinner at 18:00.

The 24 hours intermitten fasting:

This will be the experienced level. Make sure you drink a lot, and in case you are extremely hungry, you’ve got two choices:

  1. stop your fasting
  2. Drink warm broth

Start: at 18:00 hrs to 18:00hrs the next day.
